SPAIN / SINCE 1989
Primeboots originated in 1900s Valverdena del Calzado, Spain. All boots are made by hand using Goodyear welt construction. This methods benefit is, besides of a good look, that the boot can be resoled repeatedly, giving your boots a lifespan of years, sometimes even decades. Using a leather insole also gives the boots a unique perfect fit designed after its owner’s feet.
The small town of Valverde del Camino is located in the beautiful province of Huelva in Andalusia. For generations, this town has traditionally made quality clothing and footwear for the mining district of Rio Tinto. The miners’ need for tough boots and shoes required a solid construction, so in the 1890’s the town’s craftsmen began using the Goodyear welt process. It’s a concept that produces comfortable footwear of exceptional quality and durability.
Today we at Primeboots use the same technology to manufacture our own line of hard-wearing boots and shoes, sewing rubber and leather soles securely onto sturdy leather uppers. Founded in 1989 by a group of local craftsmen and skilled shoemakers, our ambition is to continue building on Valverde’s venerable tradition of producing long-lasting boots and shoes made for working, walking and living.
